History
Magach 5 tanks are in service Israeli army has been located since the 70s 20th century. These are tanks M48A5 delivered from the United States (the stated quantity is 150 pieces) in the original design. Later, however, they were retrofitted with Blazer Reactive Armor (ERA).
Magach 5 tanks as well as tanks Magach 3 were gradually replaced by more powerful tanks Magach 6, Magach 7 and series Merkava, and have long been discarded .
