Viz historie typu. The plane was designed in the beginning of 1920s by Henry Coroller in Potez works. It was a development of a fighter SEA IV built by Société d'Etudes Aéronautiques, a former firm of Henry Potez and Coroller. A prototype was flown in October 1921 and shown at Paris Air Show that year. It was conventional biplane with a fixed tailskid landing gear and a nose-mounted Lorraine 12D engine. The engine was later replaced by a Renault 12Fe.
The Potez XV was exported widely, eight going to Denmark, 12 to Spain, 120 to Romania and 30 of a slightly modified version, designated Potez XVII, to Bulgaria. In addition, a sample batch exported to Poland was followed by 135 aircraft licence-built in that country.

Brief history:

A reconnaissance plane Potez XV suggested Potezův designer Henry Coroller. The aircraft was designed built as a private initiative fy Potez. The basis for this aircraft was a fighter machine SEA IV, which was license-built by Société d'etudes Aéronautiques.
The prototype of the Potez XV took off in October 1921, at the time, was also shown at the paris aerosalónu. This was a classic monoplane with fixed landing gear, which was powered by a Lorraine 12D (later, this was the engine replaced with the engine of the Renault 12Fe). The French air force used these machines in the category of A2 (a two-seater reconnaissance) and in category B2 (two-seat bomber.
Aircraft Potez XV was also widely exported: the Danes purchased eight aircraft, the Spaniards twelve, 120 it got Romanians and 30 aircraft has been adjusted to the type Potez XVII and he purchased the Bulgarians.
The largest foreign user of the Poland purchased at least 110 (maybe even a 170 - strands do not match) of the aircraft, after this delivery it was agreed to purchase licensing rights, and in Poland is subsequently made 135 aircraft Potez XV.
