Rescue version Sd.Kfz. 9 with mounted winch with a pull of 40 tons.
In older sources, the designation Sd.Kfz was given. 9/6, in the latest publication Nuts & Bolts vol. 43, the version with a 40-ton reel is referred to as Sd.Kfz. 9/3. This version appears in the source as planned, which was to begin production at the turn of 1944/45. Due to the absence of photographs or documents about the production, its production is questionable.
The vehicle in the photo was used by the French army in the 1950s, and it is questionable whether it is an original German vehicle or a post-war affair. Given that this is an F 3 tractor of early production (see fenders), the most likely possibility is that it is an older modified vehicle, which has nothing to do with the series and this planned type.
