The RAF entered Ivor Badger in 1928, pilot training passed in the middle of the třicátych years. Thereafter, until the outbreak of the war, he served with the 151. squadron, where among other things he served with the akrobatického team unit.

After the beginning of the German ofenzivý of the west 10. may 1940, he was sent as reinforcements to 87. squadron to France. Here he won his first victory when the nineteenth shot down one Bf 109 and certainly ruhý damaged. Shortly afterwards, however, the unit returned to Britain.

Badger at the squadron have already stayed and struck her in the Battle of Britain. During August 1940, he managed to certainly ruin the Bf 109 and the other three aircraft damaged.

In may 1941 he became an officer and nineteenth shot down by the isles of Scilly He 114 (more in the article - Unusual victory for the Hurricanes of the RAF).

After the end of the first hikes followed by the rest, after which he was in November 1941 sent to the middle east to 94. squadron aircraft. In march 1942 she moved again, this time to the 73. squadron, which was equipped with Hurricanes Mk.II. It intervened in the fighting with the Germans and the Itali and scored their last a certain victory, when 11. July 1942 he shot down east of Ras el Shaqiq Bf 109 F Uffz. Rasche from the III./JG 53. Already before 17. June 3. July two stodevítky damaged. His account is thus stopped at the number 4-1-5 victory, for which in September 1942 he received the DFC.

At the same time, so in September 1942, with the Badger returned to the Uk and up to the end of the war, he served in staff positions.

From the RAF left in August 1961.
