Keystone LB-7 Panther

On May 7, 1928, based on tests of the XLB-6 prototype, the USAAC ordered 35 Keystone bombers, at a price of $ 24750 per piece. There were 16 LB-6 in this order, the rest was marked as LB- 7. The difference was only in the installation of engines Pratt & amp; Whitney R-1690-3 Hornet. The parent company also named its aircraft the Panther, but the army did not accept the name. Between February and June 1929 (actually before they were delivered LB-6 ) fifteen serial machines plus a prototype were delivered to the USAAC, in May 1930 they were converted to this version at the airport France Field three more machines, originally the LB-6. In March 1932, the last survivor of them (29-010) was rebuilt to LB-6 and also sent to Kelly Field. The LB-7 quickly became obsolete, so all surviving machines were scrapped and scrapped in 1933-1934.
