GBR - EC 50 kW (elektrocentrála 50 kW)

EC 50 kW

A power plant with a rated output of 50 kW.

A total of four pieces of this equipment were to be donated to the Army of the Czech Republic by the United States in approximately 2005 (the power plants were delivered already used). In the Czech Army, the 50 kW ECs were used by the 141st Supply Battalion, and were later given to the 15th Engineer Regiment. The engine of the EC is from the British manufacturer Perkins (now part of the American Caterpillar). Although the EC 50 kW are designed as a trailer, due to the lack of Czech homologation for operation on roads they are not used as trailers.
