The end of the year the order was issued to the last version the Fw 190 D-14 and the D-15 were equipped with engines DB 603. On the other hand, we must recognize the difficult situation of Germany, which required all the available solutions in the development of powerful new types of aircraft. At the end of October 1944 přelétly two the Fw 190 D-9 (Werk-Nr.210040 and 210043) to the factory at Sorau, there was relatively rapid development of the DB 603 AE. (Junkers had already previously decided for the same mount of engines Jumo 213, as had the DB 603 to a competitive engine to replace and now it helped the engines Daimler-Benz). Aeroplanes have been tested in Echterdingenu, the test went well for, possibly produced by the aircraft was calculated with engines DB 603 LA or DB 603 E, it should be the version the Fw 190 D-14.
