A rimfire cartridge with no powder charge. The projectile was propelled by the pressure of the gases developed by the shattering composition of the primer.
The cartridge was used in the German army as a training cartridge for the M 1888 rifle.

It is a little extended version of Flobertova hub also known under the synonym " 5 mm the German". Was developed around 1880 in Germany. In the beginning Also.SV. was used by the German army for training shooting from vložných main. Outside the army, it was used for parlor shooting and to hunt small game. Was also produced with a mass shot in a paper casing long 25.5 mm. Production ended between the two SV. Below the strand indicates a different length casings - 6.1 mm
