Tatra 148 VN
Truck Tatra 148 VN (flatbed with a winch) designed to carry cargo with a maximum weight of 12 t or the transportation of 40 persons and to move the trailer to 30 t.
The vehicle is a three-axle, has a pendulum half-axles with independent odpérovaním all of the wheels. Both rear axles are permanently driven, the drive of the front axle can be turned on elektropneumaticky if necessary.
The vehicle comprised the modernisation of the elements of the range T-148, should, however, still the original vícepalivový engine T-928-17 used on the type of T-138 VNV.
Upgraded and reconstructed the structural nodes (as opposed to the T-138 VNV): - reinforced gearbox, gears made of better materials - between the 2. and 3. axle built center differential - enhanced management of liquid booster, derived from the T-813 - front axle reinforced and designed for a maximum load of 6 tons - the front-wheel drive is switched on elektropneumaticky - torsion bars for the front suspension supplemented with telescopic shock absorbers and adjusting bolts - the rear axles have a reinforced hinged fork, pipe half, of the brake unit - modernized electrical system - valníková body has a steel sidewall
The prototype T-148 VN was at the end of the sixties tested the Czechoslovak people's army. In its armament, however, was fully established when the variant of the "classic" Tatra 148 - T-148 VNM..
