The RV 2 radio altimeter is designed for all types of aircraft and is used to indicate the actual altitude above the terrain in the range of 0 to 1200 m. The readings are independent of surface characteristics and atmospheric conditions. At significant inclinations (above 45 degrees) the reading may be distorted.
