The 155 mm 155/52 APU SBT howitzer was developed by General Dynamics Santa Barbara. The howitzer was developed according to the principle of Joint Ballistic Agreements. The howitzer can be used both for fire support and for accurate shooting at selected targets, so it can be built into the coastal protection system. The cannon has high mobility, navigation, is connected to a ballistic computer and a relatively high firing range. Furthermore, the cannon has been developed so that it does not require demanding operation or maintenance and so that maintenance costs are very low. The cannon can be included in any combat management. The cannon is equipped with a hydraulic recoil and gate system, the head & # 328; it is equipped with a three - chamber amal brake.
