Berliet VUDB 4
In 1932, as part of a programme to develop new reconnaissance vehicles (Voiture blindée de reconnaissance), a modified form of the Berliet VUDB was created based on the series-produced armoured vehicle Berliet VUDB, the [iaa]Berliet VUDB 4. The changes affected the armoured body itself, which changed shape. A swivel turret with a 7.5 mm machine gun was placed on the roof of the vehicle. The prototype was demonstrated to the French Army Commission at Vincennes in 8/1932. The armour of the machine had a maximum thickness of 5 mm, the floor was not protected by armour at all. According to order No. 350 D/L 4 units of this vehicle were produced (registration numbers 86 516 - 86 519).

These machines were sent to 1er GAM (Groupe d'Autos-Mitrailleuses), where all four vehicles were probably modified into radio-controlled vehicles]TSF (Transmission Sans-Fil), where the turret was removed and a metal canopy was placed in its place, with a mast antenna sticking out of it.
