An upgraded version of the German emergency transmitter from 1941. It served as a model for the British Gibson Girl. It had an excellent ergonomic shape suitable for holding with the feet, which allowed relatively comfortable operation even for one person. Compared to NS1, it was equipped with a more efficient antenna that could be carried by a 90 cm balloon or kite. The balloon inflation gas was produced by the chemical reaction of water in a tube filled with a powdered chemical, developing a high temperature.
