Motorcycles ITAR 700/750/820

ITAR – Janatka-Factory-Automontage-Blade. For Czechoslovakia this is despite the small number of produced motorcycles on the very important machine. This machine interesting, reliable and original modern (drive chain, four-stroke engine, three-speed transmission, etc.) design from the pen of ing. Josef Jagged (the company Walter). Among its basic features belonged to four-stroke twin with opposing cylinders (divorce SV), stored in the frame lengthwise, with one cylinder forward and the other backward. The original Jagged concept stemmed allegedly from the year 1917. After the war, lost the company interested in the manufacture of motorcycles and the project, the semi-machine (10 pcs) and parts sold Janatkově company (ministry of Walter a final accounting for 28 000,-). The owner of the company managed to close with the czechoslovak army contract, which then formed the backbone for the production and shipping of the machines. Premiere motorcycle ITAR 700 was 22. may 1921 the start of the race Zbraslav-clay-lick, where the machine won in its category the second place. The approval management type under the number CCCXXX (330) took place at the regional office 8. August, 1921.

1923 – a Record from the magazine, the Technical the banner year of 1923: “...as from the factory of mr. Janatky we learn, made by already company 50 motorcycles for private persons and 22 units for the army.“ Expert estimates, however, indicates rather the 10 pcs in the civil sector overall. The army probably took really only about a little over 40 pcs of motorcycles (9 + 16 + 22 = 47?). The bikes collected in the year 1922-1923 bear numbers NI-156 to NI-166. Can I find an indication that in the years 1920-1923 was made of 46 pieces of machinery ITAR 700.
