Citace :
152-ЕОФ-KH-37, H 18/47
a strange hybrid of Cyrillic and Latin. Additionally, the whole designation is kind of weird - the ML-20 topic lists the following cluster-bursting ammo:
If I take the designation of the OF projectile as fragmentation-rupture, does the E (Is?) stand for a split charge? But the index is missing (I haven't encountered the Soviets marking directly in the ammo the weapon the ammo is intended for). According to the stencilling, it is ammunition produced under CS licence, which would be consistent with the stencilling used.

Reklama
The letter E at the beginning of the designation means in Czechoslovak terminology a split hub The letter J at the beginning of the designation means a single charge The above method of marking cartridges - 152-EOF-KH 37, 152-EOF-H 18/47 - corresponds to the Czechoslovak method of marking ammunition. Corresponding marking of shells would be 152-OF-KH 37, 152-OF-H 18/47
The Soviet method of marking is in the table, with the numbers 530 and 540 denoting the types and/or calibers of the weapon (the system is quite convoluted and one round could be used for several weapons).
The number 530 refers to the 152mm cannon howitzer vz 1910/37, 1909/30 and ML-10 vz 1938 number 540 - 152mm cannon vz 1910/30 and 1910/34 number 551 - 152mm gun BR-2
EDIT - not sure, but was the KH37 cartridge the same as the H18/47 cartridge? I have the impression that it wasn't...
