He was born in Jerez de García Salinas, Zacatecas and began his military career at the age of 17, serving in artillery.


During the war with the yaqui, he accompanied these governors Raphael Isabel. When the Mexican Revolution began, he fought in the hills of the state of Chihuahua and fought in the battles of Batopilas and Agua Prieta, where he earned a promotion to lieutenant colonel for his actions.


As a brigadier general, he came to Zacatecas in 1913, where he commanded a brigade consisting of 39 and 52 battalions, 400 volunteers, 150 Xico and 2 artillery batteries. However, it cannot prevent the occupation of the city by units F. Villa and P. Natera.


In the years 1917 and 1920 he fought with a weapon against Venustian Carranzo.


Subsequently, he worked for several years in the consular services and died in 1937.
