Velení Vzdušných sil AČR dnes převzal generálmajor Petr Mikulenka (oficiálně od 1. listopadu), který doposud působil jako národní vojenský představitel na Vrchním velitelství spojeneckých sil v Evropě / SHAPE v belgickém Monsu, a to po dobu tří let. Na jeho místě ho vystřídal dosavadní velitel VS generálmajor Petr Hromek.
