History:


On the basis of the Directive of the General Staff of the USSR in the period from 22 September to 4 October 1962 was formed 10 oBrSpN, location: the Old Crimea (pgt. Pervomaiskoye).



Work on the formation of the brigade began under the leadership of Colonel M. Ya. Kochetkov, who then became chief of staff. According to the order of the Ministry of Defence № 005 USSR of 23.4.63, the day of the brigade's foundation was announced 04.10.1962. In 1967, by order of the commander of the Department of Defense 1st SpN detachment and the detachment of special radio communication received the title of 50 years of the October Revolution. From 1979 to 1987, the brigade was awarded the Red Banner of the Military Council of the OdVO many times, inscribed in the Book of Honor of the Military Council of the OdVO. In 1987, the brigade's special purpose group was named the best in the USSR SS in sniper shooting. In a competition among the special forces of the VS of the USSR at the base of the 5th OBrSpN in 1990, the group of the 10th OBrSpN under the command of Sergei Vdovin won 1st place.



DRA (Afghanistan):


In 1985, while preparing the 186th ooSpN to join the DRA, it was partly made up of members of the 10th OBrSpN.



Ukraine:
11.10.1991 the brigade became part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the Directive of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine 03.06.1998, 10 OBrSpN reorganized into 1st Independent Regiment of Special Purpose (1 opSN 32 AA) (since 01.09.2000, 3rd Independent Regiment SpN v.no. A-0680 with deployment in Kirovograd).




Russia:


Newly established on 01.5.2003 in the North Caucasus Military District (SKVO) near Krasnodar, near the village of Molkino, on the bases of the 2nd and 16th Armoured Regiments.


Military unit 51532 created on the basis of the presidential decree of 10.10.2002 № 1334. Ministry of Defence Directive D - 063 of 30 November 2002


The formation began in January 2003, as the beginning of the formation is considered, the transfer of units to the village Molkino (v.no. 46266) from v.no.11659 (22nd OBrSpN) SKVO.


The command consisted of SKVO and DVO officers. The formation of v.no. 41726 was carried out from people from the 2nd OBrSpN LenVO and the 16th OBrSpN MVO, the addition of v.no. 41742 occurred from the 3rd OBrSpN PUrVO, v.no. 44183 was formed from the brigades of the OBrSpN Siberian Military District, v.No. 55005 (107th oSpN) was supplemented by soldiers who came from the units of the Far East and the North Caucasus, a separate training battalion was formed from the personnel of military commissars SKVO.


Military unit 51532 was created on 01.05.2003 with the following objectives: protection of the state border in the south of the Russian Federation, search and destruction of illegal armed groups.


As a result of military and intelligence activities, quality of performance and effectiveness of intelligence in 2004 for SpN units performing combat tasks in Chechnya, they were awarded by the Chief of General Staff and Commander of the Joint Group of Troops (Forces) in the North Caucasus.


08.8.2011
Dmitry Medvedev presented the Order of Zhukov to the 10th Independent Special Purpose Brigade of the Ministry of Defense. This award was given for achievements in the preparation and implementation of large-scale military operations.


South Ossetia


In August 2008, soldiers from the 10th Independent Special Purpose Brigade participated in an operation to force Georgia to make peace. For the courage and heroism of the soldiers, 76 special forces soldiers were awarded orders and medals, and Private Raushan Abdullin was posthumously awarded the title Hero of Russia.





The 85th, 104th and 107th OoSpN operated together in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict in August 2008.

1. Kalinin, Aleksandr Sergeyevich, born in 1983, Partizansk village, Primorsky Krai, junior sergeant, reconnaissance officer of the 3rd company (551st ooSpN). Killed at 5:45 a.m. on 5 November 2003 near the village of Galashki, Sunzhenskiy rayon, by a bomb planted by Chechen rebels. Buried in Partizansk.


2. Shatalov, Denis Valeryevich, born 1984, Severo Evensk, Magadan Region, junior sergeant, group commander. Died on 04.07.2003 of acute poisoning with unspecified poison. Buried in the "old" cemetery in the town of Nakhodka.


3. Smirnov Andrey Alekseevich. Lieutenant. Commander of the reconnaissance group (85th OoSpN). Born 12.4.1980 in Novocheboksarsk. Graduated from KVTKKU in 2003 with honours. Died on 06.04.2004 during the liquidation of a gang in the locality of Ali-Yurt. He was awarded the Order of Courage (posthumously). Buried at the place of his birth.


4. Fedoseev Rodion Vyacheslavovich. Private of the 85th OoSpN.


5. Makhmutov Ramil Auchatovich. Vojin. 95. ooSpN. He was awarded the Order of Courage.


6. Redko Sergei Pavlovich. Junior Sergeant of the 95th OoSpN.


7. Romanovsky Yevgeny Ivanovich. Junior sergeant. 95th ooSpN.


8. Ustich Aleksandr Nikolayevich. Elder. 95th OoSpN.


9. Zebinsky Aleksandr Vladimirovich. He had a traumatic brain injury. On February 8 this year he died of his injuries in 358 OVG, Samara city.


10. Nogin Sergei Borisovich. Junior Sergeant, squad leader of the 2nd group of the 3rd company (551 ooSpN) born 07.04.1979, joined in the city of Vologda RVK Rostov region 10.11.1998, Russian, single. Nature of injuries: gunshot wounds to the abdomen, armed conflict. Died of his injuries on 10.05.
