AZK-7 is designed to determine the firing positions of the enemy's artillery and mortar means and to monitor and correct fire from its own artillery at the level of the battery and section. Allows operation on the battery stage and compartment. As a rule, they are spread about 2-3 km from the front edge, ensuring activity in the conditions of use of chemical and biological weapons and also in the conditions of radiation fallout.

AZK-7 provides:
- calculation of rectangular coordinates of sound sources in the specified survey sector;
- determination of deviations of own fire from targets found by own survey or entered from other survey means;
- target hit control (destruction);
- fire transfer control;
- simultaneous conduct of enemy reconnaissance and monitoring of own fire.

Composition:
3x system S1 ( & # 1089; & # 1080; & # 1089; & # 1090; & # 1077; & # 1084; & # 1072; & # 1057; & # 1057; - survey posts
1 x S2 system ( & # 1089; & # 1080; & # 1089; & # 1090; & # 1077; & # 1084; & # 1072; & # 1057; 2) - central position

The systems are housed in a K4.131 box body ( & # 1050; 4.131) on off-road
automobiloch ZiL-131. S1 systems ensure the reception of acoustic signals, ensure their initial processing and transmission to a central station. The central station (S2 system) provides secondary signal processing and calculation of the required data (target coordinates).

The power supply is provided by a single-phase AC voltage of 220 V from the power plant or the industrial network 220 V/50 Hz. The system also allows the use of its own power supply (generator G-290 ( & # 1043; -290) with 27 V DC, or 24 V from 6ST-90 rechargeable batteries ( 6 & # 1057; & # 1058; -90) Switching of voltage sources is ensured automatically (in case of failure of external power supply 220, power supply from batteries or from generator G-290 is automatically secured). S is 800 VA, system S2 2000 VA The complex is equipped with its own top connection system.The complex is equipped with means of line connection enabling to build its own connection network with a length of 9 km.
