Engineer Group Headquarters X [1937-1938]


The command was established on 1 April 1937. It was located in Rokytnice v Orlických horách and was subordinated to the Directorate of Fortification Works [1935-1939]. The command was responsible for the construction of fortifications on a line almost 15 km long between the Zemská brána (Earth Gate) and the 992 Komáří vrch (Komáří Hill), on which 40 buildings (33 isolated infantry logs) were laid out under the care of the Engineering Construction Command III [1936-1938], three fortress infantry log cabins, one entrance building, one artillery turret, one fortress artillery log cabin, one artillery observation post), all of which were designed and commissioned. By September 1938, all the buildings were completed and most of them were also armed.

Construction Subdivision of Heavy Fortifications 1/X [1937-1938] (from January 1937)
Heavy Fortification Construction Subdivision 2/X [1937-1938] (from January 1937)
Heavy Fortification Construction Sub-section 3/X [1936-1938] (from August 1936)
Heavy Fortification Construction Sub-section 4/X [1937-1938] (from January 1937)
Guard Battalion I [1937-1938] (June 1937 - May 1938).


The commanders of the Engineer Group Command were:
Lieutenant Colonel of the Engineer Troops František Stejskal (April 1937 - September 1937),
Lieutenant Colonel of the Engineer Troops Bohumil Bláha (September 1937 - November 1937),
Lieutenant Colonel of the Engineer Army František Stejskal (from November 1937).
