C. and K. Andrej Hadik's Hussar Regiment of Futak & # 269 ;. 3 (brief history)
The history of this regiment is written. during the war for the Spanish heritage. The regiment was founded on February 28, 1702. The patent for the compilation of this hussar regiment was entrusted to the general - the guarded master Simon Forgá & # 269; of Ghymes. This regiment was formed at the same time with four other hussar regiments. The construction of new regiments began in the fact that this type of cavalry units proved extremely successful. By internal organization, these regiments did not differ from Kyrysnícky regiments. Each regiment was divided into five. squadron, & # 269; i & # 382; e at ten & # 357; company.
The organization of the regiment took place in the Hungarian chairs Ráb, Esztergom, Komárno and Veszprém. Recruitment for the regiment took a long time, both due to financial problems and a lack of suitable candidates for service in the regiment. Similar problems were experienced by other hussar regiments. In 1705, the regiment's leadership was supplemented by the dissolution of the disbanded regiments of Czungenberg, the Gombos and Gombos. Similar addition of time-lapse units was common practice. In 1748 the regiment was supplemented by a squadron from the Trips Regiment, & # 269; i in 1768 from the Imrich Esterházy Regiment. In the years 1769-98, the regiment in the cavalry operated with the serial number 32. Since 1798, this cavalry unit has been assigned serial number 3. The regiment has regularly replenished in some Hungarian districts such as precinct & # 269 ;. 38. Buda (1781 -1853), & # 269; .37 and 38. Great Varadín and Szeged (1853 -1857). From 1889, the regiment was completed mainly in the territorial military district of Timisoara. After more than two hundred years of the regiment's existence, this unit spread throughout the monarchy. The regiment had its garrisons in Hungary, Silesia, Lombardy, but also Czech Republic (Opava, Brandys, Pardubice) and Transylvania. At the end of the 19th century, the regiment became the seat of Timisoara and Arad. Andrej Hadik of Futak was awarded the regiment in 1888.
Among the owners of this regiment we can find some interesting personalities. The regiment together owned 12 owners. The founder & # 318; Regiment Count Forgá & # 269; de Ghymes, who became famous as Commander & # 318; imperial army, which defeated the Kurucs near Levice. In a later period, Forgá & # 269; passed to the Kurucs, which was common practice after the arctic uprisings. An interesting figure was Baron Štefan Dessewfy de Czernek et Tarkoe (from Zernek and Kamenice). He fought in the army since 1684 and caught up with & & # 382; to the rank of submarine. He is buried in the crypt of the Sabinov church. The regiment owned in the years 1727 - 1742 An important owner of the regiment was also Baron Jozef Festetics de Tolna. If you command & # 318; regiment distinguished himself after the war with the Turks in 1737 at Bagna Pálance and Novibazar. He left the army with the rank of cavalry general. The regiment owned in the years 1742 - 1757. Count Imrich Esterházi owned the regiment from 1768 to 1792. His family was one of the first in Hungary to respond to Maria Theresa's request for help against the Prussian King Frederick. The Esterhazis assembled a regiment at their own expense. Imrich Esterházi made it and & # 382; to the rank of cavalry general. Marshal Andreas Hadik, Count of Futak, whose name the regiment later bore, was never the owner or commander of the regiment. However, at the beginning of his long career, he served in various ranks in this unit.
A total of 42 officers took turns in command of the regiment. Some of them have made a significant contribution to the military history of the monarchy Count Ladislav Cziráky de Dénesfalva (from Danišovice). He led the regiment in the years 1739-42. He distinguished himself with the regiment in many battles. During the siege of Prague in 1742, he destroyed a strong French unit that attacked the city. He himself was injured in this skirmish. Baron Gabriel Georg Lusinczky. The commander of the regiment was in 1754-56. It was gradually reworked and & # 382; to the rank of lieutenant marshal Carl Wilhelm von Nauendorf. The commander of the regiment was in the years 1756-57. He distinguished himself with this unit in the battle of Cologne on June 18, 1757.After the battle, he gained the rank of & # 357; general-guarded master Baron Stefan Vecsey de Hajnacskeö He commanded the regiment in 1857-59. Under his leadership in March 1759, the regiment defeated Prusov near the city and Hirschfeld in Hesse and conquered it. This officer also reached the rank of general. In 1759 he was appointed lieutenant marshal. Baron Peter Vecsey de Hajnacskeö He commanded the regiment in the years 1804-1809. This famous officer had a great career in the imperial cavalry. An experienced officer eventually perished in the rank of major general in the ill-fated battle of Wagram. Since its establishment, the regiment has participated in a number of proliferation and combat operations. I would like to mention briefly & # 357; at least & # 328; those that have made a significant contribution to the history of the regiment. In the years 1716-17, the regiment underwent a strenuous campaign against the Turks. He took part in battles near the cities of Karlovac, Petrovaradin, Temesvár, Belgrade, Új Pálanka and others. In July 1739, the regiment was distinguished by the conquest of Bagna Pálanka, but those & # 382; suffered significant losses in the failed attack on Grock. During the war for the Austrian heritage, the regiment operated mainly in the region of Silesia and Silesia. In the years 1741-43, the regiment underwent the invasion of the town of Písek, the battle of Pilsen and Chotusice. However, Chotusice remained a black spot on the regiment's reputation. Instead of persecuting the defeated Prussians, the Hussars plundered the peasants. the Prussian camp, giving the shaken enemy to recover and reverse the battle. Followed by & # 269; as & # 357; during the siege of Cheb. Even after the Seven Years' War, the regiment operated mostly in the Czech Republic. The regiment took part in the conquest of Brandys, but especially in the Battle of Cologne. Just before the battle itself, the regiment under Colonel Nauendorf was distinguished by a successful raid on the Prussian camp, in which the hussars inflicted losses on the Prussian Hussar Regiment of Württemberg. In the years 1792-99, the regiment regularly participated in battles with the French revolutionary armies. The regiment fought in battles near the towns of Croix-au-Bois, Tiriemonte, Neerwindene, Maubege, Annapes. La Roche Tourcoing and others. In 1805, the regiment was transferred to the Italian battlefield. The individual parts of the regiment operated separately and took part in the battles of Castelvecchio, Caldiere and Villanouva. Since 1809, the regiment has been operating in Germany. He fights in Aspern and the unfortunate battle of Wagram. In 1813, the regiment fought again in Bohemia and Saxony. After the great battle of Leipzig, the regiment is part of an army heading for France. At this event, the regiment excelled in the battle of Fére-Champenoise. The turning point in the history of the regiment is the revolution of 1848/49. Much & # 269; Time & # 357; regiment deserted to the Hungarian rebel army. The regiment was then reorganized in Opava. In 1859, although he was near Solferina, he did not intervene in the battle. The regiment was also on the Italian battlefield during the Prussian-Austrian war and took part in the Battle of Custozza.
