Tatra 810 ATS

Brief history
The army declared the requirements for a new medium truck, which would replace the famous Pragu V3S. In the mid-nineties came from the competition Mělník engineering works and foundries with your special ROSS 210.12 VV 6x6. In 1997, the engineering works to supply the army of the fifteen machines test series. Strojírny have overestimated their forces and facilities, and due to the slowness (indecision) military officials have fallen into financial difficulties. Promising project ROSS 210 was stopped. The army, however, still consider the exchange of outdated cars for new, therefore Tatrovka bought from roudnice strojírny, at the end of 2002, the technical documentation and production rights to the cars ROSS 210. In the first stage as soon as possible potatrovštění of the vehicle, carried out a factory its modernization known as the Tatra R210M or Tatra R210.12 VV 6x6 M. In November 2004, this vehicle is presented to the representatives of the army.

Currently, the vehicle is factory designated as series 810. Similar designations apply Tatrovka in the fifties of the last century for the project kolopásového armored transporter. In 2006, the army signed a contract for the delivery of the 556 pieces of these cars and in September 2007, the army withdrew from this business.

Description
Medium all-terrain car Tatra T810-1R0R26 13 177 6x6.1R is the only truck of the current production deals, which is designed with a classic žebřinovým frame and rigid portálovými axles.

Engine Renault Dxi 7, inline six-cylinder, four-stroke, water-cooled, diesel, turbo charged, with the heat exchanger filling the air and direct fuel injection. Engine about the content of 7,14 dm3 the maximum power of 177 kW at 2300 min-1, has a max. torque 920 Nm at 1200 to 1700 min-1 and corresponds to the requirements of the EURO.

Transmission is a system Praga 12PS93 RPZV with 12 speeds forward and 2 speeds reverse. Portal axles PPN6 and PZN6 capacity of 6 tonnes are from the same manufacturer. For the disputes with the subcontractor Praga leadership of the Tatra announced that stops these axles and the gearbox remove. A substitute has become a German gearbox ZF 6S 1000 T0.

The brakes are air, dual circuit, drum on all wheels with samostavy WABCO, ABS. The service brake is dvoukruhová, air, power, effective on all wheels of axles. The emergency brake is spring type, effective on all wheels of the rear axles. The parking brake is spring, effective on all wheels of the rear axles. Auxiliary brake of the motor, the exhaust.

The cabin in the basic design is a three-digit forward control armored floors, double-door, hinged, equipped with basic security features, air conditioning, heating and forced ventilation.
