CZK - MRP-4 (miniaturní radiolokační pátrač)

MRP-4
miniature radar searchlight

Description:

The MRP-4 device is a miniature radar seeker, by means of which the operator detects the existence of a working radio technical means (RTP) in his surroundings, by analyzing the received signal determines the approximate type of this RTP and, using the directional characteristics of the seeker antennas, the operator has the possibility to approach the RTP up to its immediate vicinity.

The searchlight receives and processes signals from pulse-modulated radio technical devices, mainly radars, radio navigation devices, directional links and others.

The searchlight is designed to be transmitted and operated by a single operator. Radio signals reaching the operator's position are audibly indicated by the searchlight. The operator shall determine the carrier frequency band of the received signal by successively switching wavebands. By means of acoustic or optical indication, the operator measures the magnitude of the repetition frequency of the pulse modulation of the signal and further determines the time of one revolution of the antenna of the measured RTP by means of a watch. From the information thus obtained, the operator determines approximately the type of the measured RTP according to the table. In the same way the operator processes all types of received signals.
Next, the operator, using the directional characteristics of the searcher, measures the direction of the incoming signals, or by repeatedly measuring the direction, approaches to the immediate vicinity of the measured RTP, when it is already possible to observe it visually or acoustically.

The KRP-4 search engine can also be used for long-term monitoring of the pulse RTP operation mode.

Basic technical data:

Receiver: direct-amplifying, consisting of built-in antennas, vf Eltry; video detectors and video amplifiers.

Frequency range: 2.7 to 32 cm divided into 4 separate sub-bands, the selection of which is made by the operator.

Indication:
a) Acoustic - by a built-in knocking circuit with a miniature handset or miniature loudspeaker attached.
(b) Optical - by means of a hand-held measuring instrument.
The indication is selected by a switch controlled by the operator.
Measurement of the repetition rate of the pulse source: in the range ÍOO - 5000 Hz in three subranges using the built-in device, the earpiece and the hand-held measuring instrument.
The subrange is adjusted by an operator-controlled switch. The measurement error of the repetition rate is less than 1O %.

Method of measurement:
a) direct - by means of a built-in hand-held meter, if the measured signal falls on the antenna for at least 1,5 seconds (the time when the instrument's hand is stationary on the scale).
(b) comparative - when the received signal falls for less than 1,5 seconds. The measurement is made by acoustically comparing the frequency of the received signal with the frequency of a tunable auxiliary oscillator built into the equipment and controlled by the operator. The frequency of the auxiliary oscillator is read by the operator on the scale of the hand-held meter.

Sources:
7NiCd 458 8.4 V/450 mAh batteries.
Two backup batteries.

Operating time: 12 hours at normal temperature. Control: by built-in hand-held meter.

MRP-4 miniature searchlight kit

The device and accessories are stored in a wooden transport box. The transport crate is divided by partitions that secure the individual accessory parts from free movement and damage during transport. The individual parts are stored in such a way that only those parts which are required for the desired operation can be removed. Before each transport of the searchlight, the individual parts of the assembly shall be placed, properly cleaned, back in the designated space in the transport box.

In a special situation, the searchlight may only be transported in a canvas case with the essential accessories.

Kit parts:
(a) The actual searchlight with battery, searchlight case,
(a) a searchlight case, spare diodes, tweezers, a miniature earpiece and a measuring device.

This zariadenie malo kodove meno Barbara, vyrábané minimally in two variants - without prieduchu (staršia variant) and with pretlakovým prieduchom (the same as the RF-10,novšia variant), posledné dvojčíslie výrobného numbers is the year of manufacture.
Tretia variant is a modified pre použitie on slúchadlá with 3.5 mm jackom - occurs with zariadení, ktoré boli established in poľsku, but I don't know or sa this is a továrenskú production, or is it poľská adjustment.
There are even tutorials súprava MRP-4VSD, includes is príjmač (marked with a red pásom)in bedni with kompletným príslušenstvom, and the second bedňa with premietačkou and coffered magnetofonom. Dad súprava slúžila on the učebné purposes.
In 90tych rokoch bola urobená modernizácia, and that under názvom MRP-4M, dad was completely prepracovaná, mala held frekvenčný range, used business batteries, and zobrazovanie signálov through the led.
