In 5/1944, proposals for new super-heavy assault guns/tank destroyers were submitted by Krupp. The E-100 tank platforms were to be fitted with a 15 cm L/63 or 17 cm L/53 gun in a fixed superstructure. On 28 May 1944, the company offered WaPrüf 6 the production of a 1:5 scale wooden model, but the response was reluctant. By order of Adolf Hitler himself, the super-heavy tank projects were halted. The eventual model was to be presented to Generaloberst Guderian. Later, any interest from the German authorities waned and the project was not continued.
