According to the directive of the general staff of the 5.2.1962 № 140104, TurkVO, was created 15. a separate brigade of a special purpose with a dislocation in town Čirčik, Uzbek SSR.

In the fall of 1962 began to mold and to command the brigade temporary deputy brigade commander, the commander of the hinterland areas of the services of the colonel In. Also. Chodčenko. Most of the officers came from the 105. Ferganské airborne division. Soon the brigade joined the people of the reconnaissance battalion headed by the battalion commander, major In. And. Kočetovem. The first years the members of the brigade were conducting skydiving on the base 105. airborne division in Ferganě, in the other years were carried out the next jumps on the polygon Čirčik. They used 2 aircraft An-8. Two machines of this type are also used during the occupation of the airport in Pilsen in the year 1968.

Afghanistan:

In 1985, the staff of the brigade relocated to Afghanistan, to the city Džalalabad (province Nakgahar).

Separate sections of the brigade have been stationed in Jalalabad (154.), Baraki (668.), Asadabadě (334.) and in Ghazni (177.).

For courage and military valor of the brigade and its units received Flags MO of the USSR, honorary badges of the soviet republics and the government of Afghanistan.

During the afghan war was more than four thousand soldiers and officers of the brigade blessed with orders and medals, and four - (In. Kolesnik, In. Kuznetsov, Ju. Miroljubov, In. Turčin) became Heroes of the Soviet union.

15.February 1989 the last troops of the brigade withdrew from Afghanistan, to the places of permanent dislocation - Čirčik, UzSSR. Further, in the same year 1989 moved its headquarters brigade to Azadbaše in Čirčiku.

In the late 80's. - in the early 90's. years the soldiers of the brigade have fulfilled special tasks in the "hot spots" of the Soviet union.

In January 1990, she was 15. brigade of special purpose transferred under the operational control of the KGB of the USSR.

In 1994, the brigade was transferred to the troops of the Ministry of defence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan:

15. brigade of special purpose was reformed to separate airborne assault brigade in February 1996. The number of military units 64411. Then became brigade part 2. army corps mobile force of the Ministry of defense of Uzbekistan. In the framework of the 2. AKMS was 15. odšbr in February 1999, the main tactical objective was to cover the state border of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the district of Angren Almalyk in Taškentské area.
