OT-810/R2 - armored command vehicle
Armored personnel carrier OT-810/R2 is an armored command vehicle equipped with radio stations R-113 ( VKV), R-112 (KV), doplnkových rádiostanicami R-105, R-108, R-109, R-114 a set of line telephone station TP-25. The NS-600 charging station is also part of the vehicle.

The development of the vehicle began in 1959 on the basis of the requirements of the Tank Technical Report and the ČSĽA Combat Training Administration for a new armored command vehicle. The development was provided by the Ministry of General Engineering on the basis of the required tactical and technical characteristics defined by the Military Research Institute 060 Prague-Jinonice (technical requirements approved on 12.08.1960). The production of the prototype and verification series was provided by the national company Podpolianske strojárne Detva, connecting node in the vehicle body again Tesla Pardubice (in cooperation with the Research Institute 060).
By the end of 1960, a functional sample of the connecting node and the NS-600 charging station were made in Tesla Pardubice, and in December 1960, they were installed in a modified vehicle. Subsequently, on 27.12.1960-28.01.1961, the prototype was subjected to control company tests in PPS Detva ( a total of 400 hours of operation - 280 hours during the day and 120 hours at night - fasteners and 230 hours of the charging set). The tests revealed small faults in the cabling and voice equipment R-120, after their removal, the prototype was ready for additional company tests (spring 1961, a total of 100 hours of operation of fasteners and charging set). Subsequently, driving tests were performed with an emphasis on movement in rugged terrain and on field roads, including a trailer weighing 1500 kg. No major failures occurred during the tests.
Military tests took place from 29.08.1961 to 08.09.1961 as part of regimental tactical exercises 20. motostreleckej divize. On the basis of the tests, partial modifications of the interior space were performed (attachment of an additional radio station and modification of the workplace of the staff officer and radio operator).
In the spring of 1962, work on the technical documentation was completed and the vehicle was ready for the production of a verification series. The vehicle was officially introduced into service in June 1962 and then a verification series of 10 pieces of OT was produced by July 1962 (1 vehicle assigned to 20th msd, the remaining 9 to tank divisions CSLA). Subsequently, from August to December 1962, another 320 [* 1 *] (310 [* 2 *]) production vehicles OT-810/R2 were produced. All were included in the armament of tank divisions of the first sequence (the tables were intended for NŠ tank regiments, commanders and chiefs of staff of tank battalions and as technical observatories within the technical groups of tank regiments).
They were gradually decommissioned from the armament of first-line tank units after the introduction of OT-62/R2 and OT-64/R2 and assigned to second-line all-army divisions and artillery. At the end of the 1970s, part of the transporters was set aside for the needs of all-army divisions of type "b" and the rest was included in the untouchables.
Since 1982, there has been a gradual decommissioning of the vehicle from the ČSĽA armament. The liquidation was carried out by VOP Šternberk and Prešov, in the first half of the 90s also the place of reducing excess armaments and equipment in VVP Lešť. It was here in April 1994 that the last armored personnel carrier OT-810/R2 was destroyed.

OT-810/R2 tvoří lehký obrněný polopásový transportér s rádiovými stanicemi R-112, R-113 ,s tankovým hovorovým zařízením R-120, se zařízením pro doplňkovou rádiostanici typu Astra a se soupravou pro dálkové ovládání rádiových stanic.
Uvnitř je možno též připojit a používat stanici R-105d

Jen bych upozornil že vozidlo z nějž jsou snímky interiéru má nestandardně natřené pláty kryjící shora prostor posádky, ty byly v normálním provozu natřené barvou khaki, protože při jejich otevření jsou samozřejmě vidět (má je tak vozidlo na snímku "vvp 080" tak býval obvykle natřen i poklop velitele, zde ale často u útvarů při opravách došlo k natření barvou interiéru, který je až po druhou řadu sedaček v barvě bílé (slonoví kost).

Vlastní zkušenost z dob VZS (pravděpodobně jsem se setkal i s kusem z ověřovací série sloužícím u 20. MsD.)

Na fotkách daniela šína je verze R2, tedy radiovůz, je snadno poznatelná podle dvou štěrbin na pravém boku, které slouží k přívodu vzduchu a odvodu výfukových splodin z elektrocentrály.
