On May 5, 1944, at a meeting of representatives of Auto-Union and OKH, the topic of a new design of the previous program Kätzchen was discussed. The new program, called the Vollketten Aufklärungsfahrzeug (full-track reconnaissance vehicle), included three versions:
1. Mannschaftsfahrzeug - transporter for 11 people, including the driver
2. Version with 7.5 cm cannon
3. Version with 2 cm Hängelafette set or alternatively with 3.7 cm anti-aircraft cannon

During meetings with OKH representatives, Auto-Union designers mentioned that they were working on the mount of a newly developed 3 cm milked cannon intended for the Luftwaffe ( 3 cm Flakzwilling M.K.303 (Br)?). Representatives of OKH were particularly interested in this, especially when they were informed that the orbit of the new carriage was smaller than the 2 cm Hängelafette. OKH has ordered that the maximum weight of the vehicle must not exceed 12,500 kg. On the minutes of the meeting with OKH on May 26, 1944, it was noted that the vehicle should be powered by a Tatra engine with an output of 200 hp, the steering gear should be from the company B.M.M. and a gearbox that is immediately available (possible use of the AK 5-55 from Zahnradfabrik). To accelerate development, it was decided to make maximum use of the previous project Kätzchen II ( Kätzchen 38t). To achieve this goal, the designers proposed that the sides of the fuselage be perpendicular, because it was not possible, according to OKH, to use the version with inclined sides made by B.M.M. (The design was based on Jagdpanzer 38 (t)). Some parts were immediately available, but a new body had to be manufactured, a new fuel tank, etc. Delivery of the prototype was not possible before 9-10/1944. In addition, a wooden model was to be made in both the Mannschaftsfahrzeug version and its 7.5 cm cannon and Flakhängelafette (anti-aircraft cannon mount). The company Auto-Union made a drawing ZKB 10333-0 dated 1.6.1944. At another meeting on June 16, 1944, proposals for testing the use of a simple chassis by B.M.M. It has been stated that the leaf spring suspension is too hard (see K2 tests). Use of narrower belts B.M.M. would not lead to the required specific pressure on the substrate. The vehicle was to have torsion bar suspension and the wheels were to be folded as on the butt Kätzchen K1 (Staffellaufwerk). The recommended AK 5-55 gearbox was not rated as a good solution, but because no other suitable one was available, it had to be used. Due to the required changes, it was not possible to meet the delivery date of the prototype to 9-10/1944.
On June 27, 1944, the Auto-Union company received an order from WaPrüf 6/Pz.D for the development and construction of a prototype made of unarmoured steel.
On August 27, 1944, a version with a 7.5 cm AK 7 B 84 cannon was discussed. A minimum supply of 50 rounds was required, ideally it should be up to 90 rounds. The crew consisted of four people. Due to the fact that the development of the cannon company Rheinmetall-Borsig was not completed, the company Auto-Union was to receive 2.9.1944 drawing documentation and by 9.9.1944 the company had to make a wooden model.
On September 21, 1944, at a meeting of representatives of WaPrüf 6 and representatives of Auto-Union, concerns about the possibilities of starting serial production were presented. In a tense situation of industrial production, it would be extremely difficult to secure armor plates, motors and gearboxes. The final decision on the fate of this project was in the hands of Generaloberst Guderian. Due to the absence of further records on the status of at least the prototype, it is clear that it was another unrealized project, which ended only in the form of drawing documentation.
