The last and most widespread version of the T-10 series tanks had a new stabilized M-62-T2 cannon with greater power (185 mm armor shot at a distance of 1000 meters with standard ammunition against the previous 160 mm at D-25TA, when using ammunition BP-460A up to 300 mm). Other changes included the replacement of the original V-12-5 engine with a more powerful V-12-6 with 750 horsepower.

Command vehicles with advanced radio equipment were called T-10MK. At the time of production and acceptance of T-10 tanks into the armament of the Soviet army, the so-called heavy tank divisions (1957 to 1965) formed part of the organizational structure of the Soviet ground forces. T-10 tanks were concentrated in these divisions, whose core consisted of three heavy tank regiments. In August 1968, T-10M tanks joined the Operation Danube - the invasion of the Warsaw Pact armies into Czechoslovakia.

In the seventies, the towers of discarded tanks T-10 were used in border forts and even for the armament of armored trains. Entire tanks were buried in the early 1990s (1992-1993) in the Kuril Islands or on the Russian-Chinese border as static strongholds.

Some activists and journalists claim that T-10 tanks stored in the depots have been reactivated. Their information is based on a short six-second video. The editorial board of Novye Izvestiya (Новые Известия) stands out from the crowd, writing, among other things: "Where the footage was taken is unknown. Interestingly, the T-10 is often used as part of monuments dedicated to the Great Patriotic War in Russia and Ukraine."
Note:
In my opinion, this is propaganda gibberish and a deliberately edited video. The actual state of the T-10 is shown in the second two minute video, which shows one non-mobile tank taken to an unspecified location for repair.
Both videos have identical footage of the T-10 rolling off the flatbed.
The accompanying text claims that the tank, with hull number 325, was captured at Saur's Mogila (Саур-Mогила, 47°55'19.55 "N 38°44'25.25 "E) by rebels from Donetsk.
