Armored RPG-7



RPG-7 armor is a weapon designed to destroy tanks, self-propelled guns and other enemy armored vehicles. In addition, the armor can be used to silence and destroy enemy manpower hidden in light-type shelters as well as in wall constructions. Over-caliber anti-tank missiles with a cumulative effect are used for armor shooting. The most effective shooting from armored vehicles on tanks, self-propelled guns and other targets 2 m high and higher, is within the range of the target distance, which is 330 m. The effective aimed shooting range is 500 m.

Combat firing rate is 4 to 6 rounds per minute. The armor with an optical sight weighs 6.3 kg. The armored crew consists of two soldiers: an armor and an assistant armor. The moving stock of ammunition is 5 rounds, which is carried by the operator in ammunition bags. One bag with two rounds is carried by the armor, the other with three rounds is carried by the armor's assistant.

Armor RPG-7 PG-7V

It has the following main parts: anti-tank missile PG-7 with lighter VP-7 and starting powder cartridge PG-7P.

Parts of the disassembled hub: cumulative head part, track jet engine, starting dust cartridge, head part of the lighter and bottom part of the lighter.


PG-7 anti-tank missile

The anti-tank missile consists of a cumulative warhead with a VP-7 igniter and a runway jet engine. There is a protective cap at the end. The stabilizer, which ensures a smooth flight of the projectile in its trajectory, is located in the starting powder cartridge PG-7P.

Cumulative head part - is the main part of the projectile. It consists of a body of a cumulative head part with a pressed-in sleeve, an ogival part with a pressed-in sleeve of the ogival part, a negative conical cup, an insulating ring, an insulating insert, a cumulative cup with an operative part of the cumulative cup and a bursting cartridge.

Explosive charge - is stored in the body of the cumulative head part and consists of an explosive charge and an active shielding insert.

Runway jet engine PG-7D - used to increase the speed of the projectile in its trajectory. It consists of a chamber jet engine, bottom, bullet fuse, washer, partition, grate, shaped washer, nozzle block, powder charge, igniter, igniter, cap and dust pyrotechnic retarder.

In order to protect the igniter from unwanted puncture and the thread of the protrusion from damage during transport, a protective cap with a washer is screwed to the bottom.

Nozzle block - has 6 hermetically sealed nozzles through which dust gases flow from the runway jet engine. The projectile fuse (limiting screw) ensures the correct position of the detonator against the striker when charging the charge into the barrel of the armor.

Dust pyrotechnic retarder ZV-7G - used to ignite the powder charge of the runway jet engine at the beginning of the trajectory of the projectile. It consists of a retarder body, a igniter, a igniter carrier, a safety spring, a needle, a cap, a parchment pad, a retarder in the retarder housing, two amplifier bodies in the housing, a plug and two plugs.

Starter powder cartridge - gives the projectile initial speed. It is structurally connected to a stabilizer and contains strip nitroglycerin dust of the NBL-38 and NBL-42 brands.

Stabilizer - is located inside the starting dust cartridge, which is screwed to the protrusion of the bottom of the track jet engine. It consists of a stabilizer carrier, four stabilizer wings that rotate freely on the pins, a sealing ring, a washer, a diaphragm and a turbine. In the turbine bed, the tracker is compressed by a nut.

The ignition charge - basic and auxiliary - are stored in the cavity of the stabilizer carrier, the tape dust of the starting dust charge is evenly distributed between the wings of the stabilizer. The stabilizer with tape dust and ignition cartridges is stored in a paper cartridge.

The VP-7M lighter - is piezo crystal - has a head and bottom part with immediate impact effect, mask safety and self-destruction and is used to initiate explosive charge on impact with the target.

Lighter head - consists of piezo crystal, touch, nut, lighter body and insulating sleeve.

The bottom part of the lighter consists of a safety device, a spark electrode detonator ZŽI, an autodestructor, a portable charge and an action charge.

Safety device - consists of a valve, a plate with conical springs, an inertia device, a dust fuse and an ignition device.

Slider - is in the groove of the insert.

Plate - is fixed to the insert with screws. Two conical springs rest on the plate, which move the slide to the unlocked position after unlocking the lighter.

Inertia - consists of an inertia, a spring and two balls.

Dust fuse - consists of a case, fuse and pressed dust, on which the fuse rests.

Ignition device - used to ignite the dust fuse and autodestructor. It is stored in an insert and consists of a needle, spring and detonator.

Spark electrode detonator ZŽI - consists of a shaft, which is stored in an insulating case, a contact cap with a spring, a cup with a hole, the body of the electrodetetonator, an explosive pressed into the body and a cap.
