Pre-charged 46 mm grenade launcher vz. 36 was an improved version of grenade launcher vz. 30. It was developed from 1931 to 1935 and after subsequent tests, its production began in 1936. From the beginning of 1937 included in the armament as a support weapon of small infantry units.
It was a simple and reliable weapon. Production price - 1032 Polish zlotys.
Constant barrel tilt 45 °. The muzzle velocity of the grenade and the range were controlled by a control chamber using an extension ring. Lines were marked on the ring showing the range from 100 to 800 meters. According to its setting, the diameter of the supply openings and thus the amount of gas supplied varied.
A section armed with three grenade launchers was created in each infantry (shooting) company. The grenade launcher consisted of four soldiers (commander-aimer + charger + 2 ammunition carriers). Ammunition and grenade launchers themselves were transported on a section ammunition truck and the firing range was set at 20 grenades. Individual grenade launchers could be assigned to individual infantry platoons as needed.
In September 1939, there were around 3,000 grenade launchers in the armament of infantry (shooting) units. 36.
