4 members of the brigade received the medal Hero of the USSR and the 9 people of Hero of Russia.


In Afghanistan, the lost brigade a total of 191 people (1985-1988) and destroyed up to 5 000 dušmanů. The brigade here was guarding the territory of a length of 1100 km and a depth of 250 km. Available 32 Mi-24 battle helicopters, and 32 transport helicopters Mi-8.


In the years 1989-1991 the brigade participated in the settlement of conflicts in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh.
