Zostavený dňa 10.12.1942 premenovaním Infanterie-Regiment 26 je nositeľom tradícií pôvodného Füsilier-Regiment Königin Nr. 86, Flensburg. Podriadený bol 30. Infanterie-Division a bojoval na východnom fronte. Počas zimy 1942/43 je III. Bataillon (prápor), až na 15. Kompanie (rotu), rozpustený. Pluk samotný je rozpustený v októbri/říjnu 1944, pričom I. Bataillon (prápor) je podriadený Grenadier-Regiment 6.
