Plukovní odznak byl schválen v deníku rozkazů ministerstva vojenských věcí č. 4 pozice 43 z 30.1.1923.


Odznak má tvar pravidelného obdélníka s dubovým věncem. Ve středu jsou na liště umístěny iniciály pluku U 3. V rozích jsou vypsány letopočty 1807 1831 1917 1918. Věnec je vyplněn žluto - bílým emailovaným podkladem .


Způsob nošení: na levé horní kapse stejnokroje.
