KJR 3 in the 96th Infantry Brigade of the 8th Infantry Division (XIV Army Corps) - a regiment destined for the front in Galicia against Russia

In 1895, the Tyrolean Hunting Regiment was divided, which at that time already consisted of twelve battalions and four cadres of replacement battalions. The 3rd Regiment of the Tyrolean Imperial Hunters was formed from the 9th to 12th Field Battalions and the 3rd Cadre of the Replacement Battalion.
