300 Remington Ultra Magnum
Modern American hunting cartridge from 1999. The cartridge was created by modifying the cartridge case of the older charge 404 Jeffery, shortening the neck and throttling for a 7.62 caliber projectile. The 10.7 g projectile has a muzzle velocity of 1021 m/sec. The cartridge in the picture was made by the "parent" company Remingto-Peters Arms, Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA.
