Odsúdený bol for zodpovednosť his jednotiek – 229. pešiho regiment, ktorému velil, for masakre allied jednotiek ku which occurred during the dobitia Hong Kong island. It was a zviazanie and subsequent vraždenie bajonetmi captured strelcov from protilietadlovej beatérie ako aj same vraždnie personáli zdravotnej station, vćítane hospitalized and on lôžku saved injured as a result.
