American hunting cartridge from 1958, which originated from the 458 Winchester cartridge, by pulling it into the neck for a 338 caliber projectile. The 16.2 g projectile has a muzzle velocity of 810 m/sec. The cartridge pictured was manufactured by Federal Cartridge Corporation, Anoka, Minnesota, USA.
