Uniform anti-armor cumulative cartridge caliber 100 mm. The charge uses a 3BK17 Ikra missile ( 3БК17 Икра). The development of ammunition and incorporation into service took place in the early 70s of the 20th century.
The charge is designed mainly for the destruction of armored targets (tanks), fortifications and other engineering objects, artillery and missile technology. Used in 100 mm caliber cannons with a grooved barrel - eg tank cannons D-10T, D-10S, D-10TG, D-10T2S, or cannon BS-3.


Composition:
- 9BK17 grenade with V-15 lighter (or 9BK17M grenade with V-15 lighter)
- a cartridge consisting of a metal cartridge, a powder charge and a match

Working temperature: 440 ° C - 50 ° C


Further development created the charge 3UBK9M with a projectile 3BK17M. The cartridge case is essentially identical to the 3UBK9 cartridge case, the difference is in the projectile. The 3BK17 projectile uses steel, 3BK17M copper, as the cumulative funnel material.
