Country of Origin: USA

Year of Origin: 1990

Cartridge developed by Smith & Wesson in response to a failed attempt to introduce the 10 mm Auto cartridge into the FBI arsenal. The 40 S&W cartridge is a good compromise between performance, cartridge size, and gun controllability when fired.
The S&W Model 4006 pistol was the first to be chambered for this cartridge.
It has spread very quickly in North America, but has not yet achieved such popularity in Europe.
The only European manufacturers of the 40 S&W cartridge are Sellier & Bellot in Vlasim, which began production in 1995, and the Russian Armory and Ammunition Factory in Tula.

Those FIOCCHI bullets he has pictured here piti are worth nothing. I've shot them and they are really crappy, they don't compare to Sellier-Bellotts. I've also tried MAGTECH bullets, they were slightly better than FIOCCHI, but Sellier-Bellot are the units.

This is certainly an interesting observation, unfortunately without what they are worse at it is pretty pointless. Please try to write what Fiocchi are worse at, do they have worse accuracy, or does the gun not pull, do they have failures ... This way it's just a pretty useless rant, on the other hand if you give some reasons for your claim (which I have no reason not to believe) maybe it can help someone make a decision.

of course,I apologize...I tried them in one day,I had bought 50 of each, full shell FMJ.I shot them from a ČZ TT 40 pistol,on a classic round target, from a distance of about 15 meters.FIOCCHI bullets were the cheapest, but also the most inaccurate, they flew literally all over the place,MAGTECHY bullets were a bit more expensive and more accurate, the dispersion was a bit smaller, they all fit into the target, the most expensive, but also the best were Sellier-Belloty bullets, with which I managed to achieve a dispersion of about 5-6 cm from the center of the target. No bullet failed,so they were all trouble free. These are just my subjective observations,I am no Old Shatterhand, nor Chuck Norris,I am a classic amateur shooter, who just goes shooting for fun.

thanks, it's just that every other reader can compare what you had a problem with, and whether these cartridges are suitable or unsuitable, any personal experience beyond the "table values" is of course useful Smile it's all about all possible technical aspects, failures, jamming of cartridges, etc.

It's certainly not about some "reprimand" Smile it's exactly as Admin wrote about that others from your experience "have something", this way they can read that Fiocchi bullets are probably not very suitable for target shooting and that their price is maybe interesting, but that the quality is probably not what one would expect. That's the point, to share the experience, thanks for the response.
