The Kalevala is a Finnish national celebratory song cycle of mythical myths collected and published in the 1830s by Elias Lönnrot.
Kalevala an important part of Finnish culture, its publication proudly celebrated the birth of modern Finnish nationalism.

The Waffen-SS built the 1,000-man Finnisches Freiwilligen-Batallion der Waffen-SS in 1941, but it was quietly disbanded in 1943 when the Finns realised that they wanted their boys home at a time when the fortunes of war were turning their backs on Germany.

The SS-FHA was probably interested in building a Finnish SS-division, but the Finns showed no interest in joining the Germans.

There is no evidence that the "41. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS Kalevala" existed.
