American hunting cartridge from 1964, basically an extended 44 Remington Magnum cartridge. The cartridge was developed for the Marlin's bottom-lever operated Model 336 rifle. The 15.55 grain bullet has a muzzle velocity of 716 m/sec. The cartridge pictured was manufactured by Remington - Peters Arms, Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA.
