Export variant of the 53-65K torpedo.
The torpedo developed in the office of the torpedo plant of S.M. Kirov under the leadership of D.S.Ginzburg was, among other things, equipped with a new acoustic active system of guidance according to the keel and a contactless active electromagnetic igniter.
The basic characteristics were identical to the torpedo 53-65M, exceeded the ride in utility value. The use of the new course control system ensured the setting of the heading angle at any point of the torpedo's route, which allowed its use at any heading angle in the range 0 o ] to 180 o.
