I would like to make a few clarifications, concerning in particular the beginnings of "his predecessor":
The new unit was created as the last at the 2nd Air Fighter Division in Mladá and while the 7th lspp and 2nd lspp were armed with jet technology after its creation, it was assumed for it so far with the armament of S-199 aircraft.
Therefore:
October 29, 1953 - was established at the base of Milovice-Mladá as the 6th Air Piston Fighter Regiment piston
DD.10.1954 - Together with the relocation of the 2nd LSD to Slovakia, was for the dislocation of the 6th lsp/6. slp designated Zvolen Airport (Sliač or also Hajníky).
Until now, the 5th LSP LU worked here and it was on 31.10. 1954 abolished and at the same time from its status - the headquarters, teachers and attendees was "filled" relocated regiment.
June 1, 1955 - Retraining in Čáslav on flow technology
11./1955 - Relocated to Zvolen Airport (Sliač), where a concrete VPD was built in the meantime
7.10. 1988 - awarded the honorary historical name "Opavský"
Until the summer of 1957, the 6th SLP used the following codes to indicate the aircraft belonging to the unit:
Command Swarm - PF-01 to 09
1st Squadron - JM-10 to (maximum -29)
2nd Squadron - BH-30 to (maximum -49)
3rd Squadron - DR-50 to (maximum -69)
4th Squadron - ES-70 to (maximum -89)

Main armament of the regiment:
(The regiment was not in service S-99)
Regiment commanders:
1. kpt. Alois Jirovsky (1953-1954)
The following 6th SLP aircraft were also lost in the plane crashes:
summer 1955 - S-199, tr.č. PF-01

I found one photo for which the author could "catch a patch"!
It is from the period of my "last military exercise". It is black and white, but it is good to see the design of the emblem on it.

Let me correct the surnames of some regiment commanders.
- Miloslav Vaňhara (Vaňhala - incorrect)
- Jaroslav Fleišhans (Fleišhaus - incorrect)

After Otto Melis, the ZVP of the regiment was Maj. Dušan Ďurikovič.
