In 1943, a tank fighter project was created to use the platform of the newly developed reconnaissance tank Pz.Kpfw.38(t) n.A.. The engine was to be relocated to the centre of the platform and a superstructure was created at the rear to house a Pak 40 75 mm calibre anti-tank gun. The superstructure was to be welded in armoured plates inclined at acute angles to provide the machine with decent passive protection. As the Pz.Kpfw.38(t) n.A. platform did not go beyond prototype form, the tank destroyer was not refined further than a 1:10 scale wooden model.
