8 Eskadra Lotnictwa Taktycznego

The date 25.IV.1945 refers to the tradition of the 8th Assault Aviation Regiment (8 Pułk Lotnictwa Szturmowego). On this date, the 8th Assault Aviation Regiment, as part of the 2. Brandenburg Fighter and Assault Aviation Division, first engaged in combat action in support of the 1st Polish Army (1 Armia Wojska Polskiego).
The swords are the so-called Grunwald swords (swords sent to King Vladislav II. Jagiello before the Battle of Grunwald 1410, which became one of the most important in Polish history).
On the other side of the wings of the "Angel Hussars".
In the middle a white (silver) Polish eagle with a laurel wreath in its beak.
Below it the Brandenburg Gate (link to 2. Brandenburg Division in which the 8th Regiment operated)
