- In the 1970s, the Czechoslovak Air Force also started to switch to the frequency band in the range of 220 - 390 (400) MHz and designated as the 2nd air band ( 2nd LP/UKV).
The radios were delivered as "transport version" R-834U, which was a version "in 19 transport boxes"
or V version, designated R-834S, "stationary".
The set included 1 UKV radio based on R-803

R-834 were mounted in KUNG box bodies on automobile chassis ZiL-157, the power source ESB-12-VS was on a single-axle trailer 1-P-1.5
Later, a truck chassis was used for the mobile version ZiL-131,

R-834ČS.
