AGM-114 R9X Hellfire
It is a guided missile with a kinetic warhead, equipped with tilting blades. This warhead was developed to reduce collateral damage when hitting the target. Among the journalists, her nicknames took over: Blade bomb, Ninja missile or flying Ginsu. According to the Globalsecurity server, this is not an official designation and the technical information is only estimated.
The development was allegedly started in 2011 and it is assumed that the first deployment took place in 2017. Some information about the existence of Hellfire with a non-explosive warhead appeared with a two-year delay. The deaths of al-Qaeda leaders wanted: Jamal Ahmad Mohammad al-Badawi and Abu Khayr al-Masri - have been attributed to the use of this weapon. According to the Wall Street Journal, the weapon was also used against selected targets in Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Somalia and Syria.
