AMV XP for the Armed forces of the Slovak republic
The Slovak government at its session of 15. November 2017 approved material Proposal realizácie dodávok Martial of iron armor vozidiel 8x8 and the Combat of iron armor vozidiel/Viacúčelových tactical vozidiel 4x4 s dôrazom on zapojenie of the Slovak defence industry, which sets out the way of the acquisition of wheeled armored vehicles of category 8x8 (81 pieces) and 4x4 (404 pieces) for the needs of the OS SR. The estimated sum for their acquisition is eur 1.2 billion €, the implementation of supply has to take place in the course of the years 2018 to 2029.
The acquisition of combat vehicles 8x8 (BOV 8x8) will take place on the basis of international research and development project in cooperation of the Ministry of defence of the Slovak republic and the Ministry of defence of the republic of Finland. The foundation will become the type of AMV XP Finnish company Patria úpravený according to the requirements of the Slovak army. The acquisition of the vehicle of the previous generation produced in the Polish license (Rosomak) has been the subject of negotiations in the years 2014 to 2017. After successful completion of all examinations will be awarded the contract for the supply of 81 vehicles for the needs of the Armed forces of the Slovak republic in the versions:
- infantry fighting vehicle: 60 pieces
- command vehicle: 9 pieces
- medical vehicle: 12 pieces
The cost of prototype development, including testing, production of validation series, serial production and logistical support in the period 2018 to 2024 do not exceed the planned limit of funds yet delivered approximately 417 million €.

In the photos "mierového" the prototype is cover svietidla (glass) zarovno with pancierom. But this tienidlo really like so that it is zapustené. So either this tienidlo nahrádza protective glass reflektorov (what about hrúbku, then, is that the protective glass, when tienidlo is zapustené?), or is the military skúškach prototype featured doplnkovým pancierom.
