Batignolles-Châtillon (automitrailleuse de combat à vapeur)

Batignolles-Châtillon (obrnené bojové parné vozidlo)
The photos are known to me since about 2017. I have not come across such a giant. I assume that the soldiers loading the vehicle are German soldiers. I'm not particularly familiar with the uniforms, but they remind me of German ones. I sail in English or American armoured cars so I may be wrong in the following reasoning.
One photo shows a platform that resembles a French Renault 35 tank. The unknown armoured vehicle itself has a similar chassis, hence those horizontal shock absorbers on pairs of rolling wheels. The interesting thing is the vehicle's belt itself, which appears to me to be a belt in its entirety without individual links. Similar rubber tracks are best known from the Citroen-Kegrésse half-track platforms, but were also found on some types of French tanks (Citroen P 103). However, the use of such a belt (moreover, it seems to me that it is centrally guided by gearing or by means of lugs on the inside of the belt ?) would suggest a vehicle of lighter weight category. Given the design, I would guess it to be some sort of supply vehicle or artillery tractor, rather than a tank. Of course it could have just been an experimental platform in the development of a new tank. The Batignolles-Châtillon has a similar hull design.
Does anyone have any insight as to what this might be ? Resp. An insight to the soldiers or the environment.

So I managed to contact Mr Vauvillier and he solved the problem. This is a Batignolles-Châtillon project. The name of the vehicle, 'automitrailleuse de combat à vapeur', reveals one design detail, namely that it is an armoured steam combat vehicle. In that case, this mysterious vehicle is the subject of further research. The Batignolles-Châtillon firm was known, among other things, as a manufacturer of steam locomotives.
Given this knowledge of the power plant design, I would echo the impression that this is some sort of supply vehicle or artillery tractor.
Information on the vehicle can be found in Mr Vauvillier's publication "Tous les blindés français 1914-1940 (épuisé)" (supplemented by a 2nd edition published in 2020). Unfortunately I only have the original 1st edition.

Jirko, ide o francúzsky projekt pred samotným napadnutím Francúzska, nie o vývoj pre Nemcov.
