I need some help! I am looking for records of my father, who fought in the resistance during the second world war. I believe that this post is he. Although his date of birth is different, I think, that records can be wrong. I would like to find out everything you can about him, get his military records, anything! How do I go about doing this? I have nothing of my fathers, no paperwork, no photos barely ... and no information about his past! I want to find out what I can. I do not speak Czech! I am using Google Translate to write, therefore excuse me, if it is not correctly translated! My father was born Berehova (sp?) Czechoslovakia, 23. October 1912. His full name is Alexander Simche Baumberger. He died on 14. December 1989. I know that he fought in the war, and I know that he received the medal. It is possible it is really his, and if so ... is there any logs I can get? I want copies of documents, anything I find! Can someone help me?
